Student Work

Explore the creative projects designed by students at Sequins Web. From branding to illustration and web design, see how beginners build professional portfolios through our courses.

At Sequins Web, we believe that the best way to learn graphic design is by creating real work for real-world challenges. That’s why every course is built around projects that can be showcased in a professional portfolio. Our students don’t just leave with skills — they leave with tangible proof of their creativity and growth.

This page is dedicated to celebrating their achievements and showing future students what’s possible when passion meets the right guidance.

Branding Redesign by Alex M.

When Alex enrolled in the Branding & Visual Identity course, he had no design background — just a love for coffee and a dream of working with local businesses. Within six weeks, he transformed a Lincoln Heights coffee shop’s entire brand identity.

The project included:

  • A refreshed logo that reflects the shop’s community roots.
  • A modern color palette inspired by coffee tones and warm wood textures.
  • Packaging designs for takeaway cups and bags.

Today, Alex proudly features this project in his portfolio, and the café now uses his designs in their daily operations.

Illustration Series by Maria G.

Maria joined Sequins Web with the goal of turning her doodles into professional digital art. After completing the Adobe Illustrator Essentials course, she produced a series of bold, colorful illustrations that quickly gained attention.

Her final project included:

  • A cohesive set of digital posters inspired by urban culture.
  • Scalable vector illustrations suitable for both print and web.
  • A personal logo and signature style developed during the course.

Maria has since started selling prints of her work online and participating in local art fairs — proof that small steps in the classroom can lead to real opportunities.

Web Layout Project by Jordan L.

Jordan came into the Web Design Fundamentals course with one clear goal: to design a functional website for a nonprofit he supported. Over four weeks, he learned how to balance layout, typography, and responsive design.

The project included:

  • A clean homepage with a clear call-to-action for donations.
  • Mobile-friendly layouts for better accessibility.
  • A modern visual hierarchy that guides visitors through the nonprofit’s mission.

Jordan’s project not only impressed his peers but also helped the organization strengthen its online presence and attract new supporters.

From Beginner Sketches to Professional Portfolios

Every student project at Sequins Web starts with brainstorming and sketching. With Victoria Martins’ guidance, these ideas evolve into refined designs using industry-standard tools. By the end of each course, students have a body of work they can proudly present to potential employers, clients, or their own communities.

The diversity of student work — from logos and brand books to illustrations, posters, and websites — reflects the flexibility of our courses and the creativity of our students.
